Behind The Scenes at the Juno Awards

Hey everyone!

As you may already know, the Juno Awards are coming up quickly (Sunday March 27th) and it's going to be it's 40th Anniversary! I'm really excited to be here in Toronto when it's happening, because I know the city is going to be buzzing with excitement and there are going to be some fantastic events.

Already, one of the pump-up events took place on Monday, March 7 on the Ryerson campus at the Rogers Communication Centre (woot woot, my building!) in the Eaton Lecture Theatre.

The event was a panel discussion with some of the faces behind the production side of the infamous Juno Awards. The host was eTalk's Ben Mulroney and the atmosphere was very casual and interactive.

The panel included Stephen Stohn (President of Epitome Productions - Degrassi & Instant Star), John Brunton (President & CEO of Insight Production Compant Ltd - Top Chef Canada, Artists for Haiti, Project Runway Canada), Ed Robinson (worked with both CBC & CTV - Corner Gas, Canadian Idol, Comedy Now!, So You Think You Can Dance Canada), and Joan Tosoni (Award-winning director - Canadian Idol, Battle of the Blades).

The talked about how they got involved with the Junos, their favourite past Juno moments, famous screw-ups, and even about their choice for this year's host, Toronto's own, Drake.
Stephen Stohn praised the former Degrassi star, saying he is "one of the most intelligent people, so wonderful...Little Aubrey Graham."
Overall, it was an interesting discussion and I'm excited to see what this year's show has got in store for us!
Make sure to tune in on March 27 to see Canadian talent rock the stage :)
Thanks!
