EVENT | Techweek Part 1

Image via Facebook
I was super excited to get to cover Techweek for a second year in NYC (check out last year's HERE, HERE & HERE)! The week kicked off on Monday, September 29th with a party at the Brewster HQ.

It continued throughout the week with various events, conferences, panels and demonstrations. I mainly checked out the Techweek hub at 82 Mercer on Thursday and Friday for the conference.

Thursday was the LAUNCH startup competition, where more than 40 startups competed for $50k in cash and prizes. I wandered around and met some of the talented and passionate people competing and pitching. In the end, the New York-based startup Shodogg came out on top.

Generate App, founded by Malcolm Levy (who also happens to be a fellow Vancouverite!)

Notey, one of the five finalists!

The Clean Cube also made it to the finals
